Mason told me he wanted to share his testimony at church today so when the time came, I let him. He wouldn't go without our little neighbor girl (age 3) up there so she tagged along with us. We got up there and he mumbled that he and the girl were going to sing a duet and tried to get the microphone to reach her and he kept nudging her to sing. 😊After some prodding he said loudly, "I'm excited to be baptized! And Heavenly Father answers prayers!" And then started trying to beat-box in the microphone. 🎤😳I escorted them off and Brandon met me and took Mason up with him again. Brandon shared how Mason (although rowdy at times) really does believe God answers prayers. If anything goes wrong, if he can't find something, or if he sees or hears about someone in need--his head is immediately bowed and he issues a prayer in perfect faith, believing wholeheartedly his prayers will be heard. I looked at sweet Mason, with his big blue eyes looking down at the congregation and I could only think that everyone saw what I did at that moment--a sweet, perfect, innocent, beautiful soul of an angel. #lighttheworld #ohmason

Mason yet again teaches through example how to love.❤️ Yesterday, before school, Mason told me he wanted to color. I was busy getting the other kids ready so I only got a glimpse of what he drew and he said he drew it for someone but I didn't catch names and then he mumbled his teachers name so I figured it was for her. The bus came and as we were walking to the bus, I reached in his backpack where he had stuffed it and wanted to see the finished product. He grabbed his bag before I could and said "hide it! I can see him in the window! [of the bus]" I didn't think much of it until his teacher emailed me later and said Mason presented it to her proudly and then drew her a rainbow, too. Come to find out, he drew it for his teacher's twin special needs boys and had written their names on the drawing (with no help from me!!!!). The twins don't really notice if they have friends or not but it was comforting to the teacher to know they had a friend in Mason. I told Mason later that they all loved his picture he drew and his face lit up!! He exclaimed excitedly that he loved the boys--and his teacher! 😊....Mason doesn't know he's different and doesn't think anyone else is either. He's always been able to see through the outer appearance. Through his innocent, loving eyes --he sees the precious soul inside both young and old. He always seems to be just the answer people are searching for and Mason gives them just the amount of love they need to make them feel loved and special. He's funny, quirky, challenging, loving, thoughtful, and I'm once again reminded how privileged I am to be his mother. 😌

Alex allowed Mason to come up on the stage and participate in a scout song with some other young scouts that came up from the audience. While dancing he misplaced his "glowing stick" and ran back up to get it. Alex picked it up and pretended to eat it. Mason gasped, screamed, and collapsed on the floor. Alex tried to give it back but Mason didn't want it since he thought it had been in Mr. Boye's mouth. 😝😳#ohmason

On our way to the concert Mason said if someone got sick he could be "Boye's" backup dancer...or take his place😂. A nice lady gave Mason her volunteer pass with a glow stick in it. Mason said "I work here now." He stood by this employee for 20 minutes telling people walking by "thank you for coming!" As we were leaving he asked if I would drop him off next Saturday so he could so he could work there again. 😊

Dad: "Mason, stop growing up! I want you to stay little forever." Mason: "I can't stop! Heavenly Father blessed us." 💕 We have moments when we catch a glimpse of Masons true nature and its wonderfully humbling to think we are to raise such a beautiful soul. The other day he went to a baptism where the parents were divorced and not really talking so there was a noticeable tension in the room. Mason, knowing both parties, singlehandedly broke the ice by yelling "Good Job _____ !" And no one could resist smiling at such an innocent and pure gesture that set the tone for the rest of the meeting. ❤️

We took a mini trip to Vegas for some school shopping. Mason somehow lodged himself between the escalator and the glass wall railing in Dillard's. He stopped the escalator with his body and I had to pull on him hard to get him dislodged. He was turning white and couldn't breathe very well so I thought for sure he cracked his ribs since he was really red on his chest and had some scratches there. After a minute he relaxed and ended up being just a little bruised on his ribs. Whew!!! 😌 #ohmason #crisisaverted #ineeda🍷#ofroot🍺 #😉

Mason is enjoying his new freedom he has by riding his bike. This is from the window when I looked out and saw him escaping on the golf course and had to track him down. Just after this he threw his bike over our deck and about hit the stucco guys working on the house. This morning he hopped on his bike to go who knows where and I had to drive around trying to find him. I found him trying to chase our neighbor in his truck down the road. Halfway back home he throws down his bike and wants to get in the car. While I am loading up the bike he hops in the drivers seat and puts it in gear. I was just fast enough to shift it back and take out the keys before he took he and his siblings for likely the last ride of their life! Needless to say, the bike is being locked up for awhile until we can recover!😳 #wekeepourguardianangelsbusy #letuspray🙏 #ohmason

While I had ran in the bathroom to clean up the "flood" 💦Austin said Mason made in the bathroom, I heard Lexi screaming. I ran in the kitchen to see Mason standing next to her with a guilty look 😳 on his face and then ...I saw. I had just done her hair in the cutest piggy tails 🐷 and Mason had ripped them out!!! It takes a village to raise our Mason--and we got a great one! All in one day Mason got picked up in this fancy car for a ride with the top down. After getting out, he stroked the tires and said "wowwww, hydraulics!" and then proceeded to lick his window. Another nice neighbor picked he and his brother up to go get some baby pigs, and others helped keep an eye on him at a neighborhood party where he tried to steal the microphone and be the dj. We also appreciate the rolling with the punches-like being goosed in the food line, getting water poured on your plate, and then down the back of your pants! We are so blessed with understanding people around us who embrace him the way he his! 😘 #ohmason
