Mason snuck out of the hotel room before we could catch him. "I didn't want to wake you guys up." He went downstairs to the complimentary breakfast and Brandon found him all dished up.🍳🍚🥓 After he finished eating he went to sit outside in the area beside the pool (there was a gate separating it). He was trying to talk to a guy who was on the phone but the guy wouldn't answer him so he just started rummaging through his wallet that was sitting there looking for a room key to open the pool.😂 Brandon knocked on the window he was watching him through and Mason disappeared behind the fireplace...and all of a sudden 🔥🔥(he found the switch.) #hesquick #ohmason

🏄"I've been waiting my whole life to go to surf camp!!!" 🏄Mason had the opportunity to participate in a surf camp called @surfershealing run by pro surfer 🏄 Israel “Izzy” Paskowitz & his beautiful wife, Danielle. It was refreshing and wonderful to be around people who knew exactly what they would encounter with Mason and handled him beautifully! They had him on the water so fast and he was up the first time!! It was amazing to watch the talented surfers with the kids and how Mason responded to it all. Truly magical! Mason couldn't stop smiling and wanted to hold his swag bag and teddy bear all the way back home. 💕 it was the perfect day! #ohmason #surf #autismsurfcamp #surfershealingsandiego #surfershealing

We have been planning a trip to @legolandcalifornia for a long time. The boys earned their ticket to go by doing pages in their workbook. They got a "Lego buck" for each page they finished. It was a good way to keep them doing some kind of school in the summer and "earn" their ticket to go. It was a great motivator!! Mason liked Legoland but kept wanting to back to the hotel and swim 🐟. So, we left early. 👍🏻. #ohmason

Mason got a legit all-in-favor sustained calling on Sunday as the greeter for sacrament meeting. This is him being reverent during the sacrament waiting to open the doors for the boys. He would be all serious for as long as he could handle it and then I'd watch him break into a grin so big and his hands would be flapping in excitement. For those people that don't know, the rapid hand movements are called "stimming" in the autism world and it's not something he can control or I'm not sure even realizes he's doing. All he can concentrate on is his excitement and apparently feels it through his whole body. He always looks up, too or will hold whatever is in his hands in the air above his head and watch it. I love it! We have the best people around us accepting him and the best bishop who sees where Mason can shine the most and bring the most smiles and welcome everyone and anyone with open arms.😊
